My Night at the Lloyd

Last month, I was so excited to visit the Lloyd Stamford for the first time. My night at the Lloyd was such a blast, and I’m glad to have been able to safely enjoy a night out with a few of my blogging girlfriends followed by an overnight with Ben and George.

It is crazy how much has changed with the Covid situation in our area over the last few weeks. While I’m sure I would be comfortable to travel anywhere with the current state of Covid, I can’t wait to get back to the Lloyd for our next “local getaway” once the numbers decrease again.

The Lloyd is a 94-room, pet-friendly, chic, boutique hotel located in the heart of Downtown Stamford.

The Rooms

The rooms are spacious, decorated with modern-style West Elm furniture, and showcase locally-sourced artwork. Each room has a 50″ TV, work station, and a mini-fridge. The bathroom looks like a spa and even had the most plush robes waiting for us. As you can see from the photos, this hotel offers the ultimate backdrop for gorgeous photos. Imagine bridal party photos in this space? Gorgeous!

The Amenities

Most importantly, every staff member at the Lloyd was friendly and prompt to answer questions. It is clear that safety ranks high on the priority list at the Lloyd. Every staff member was fully masked and sanitizing stations are located throughout the hotel. The rooms offer keyless entry as an added measure of 2020 safety.

On the main level of the hotel, there is a bar and cafe. The bar will fully open in the spring, but for now, guests can bring wine or beer back to their rooms. In the evening, I enjoyed a glass of wine with my girlfriends by the gorgeous fireplace in the lobby. The next morning, Ben and I enjoyed lattes and avocado toast by that same fire with George by our side.

The fitness center was unbelievable! It is equipped with both a Peloton bike and The Mirror for on-demand workouts. It also had all the usual bells and whistles of a hotel gym.

Valet parking and shuttle service are two key amenities that the Lloyd offers.

Fur Friends at the Lloyd

My night at the Lloyd

I love that that the Lloyd is pet-friendly. I feel like that is a complete understatement, because, in many ways, they cater to our fur babies. There is a huge bowl of dog treats in the lobby, and George found his way to them as soon as he stepped foot in the hotel. Our room was also equipped with the most plush dog bed and huge water bowl for George. I was happy to see other guests had their dogs with them, too. George even joined us in the cafe for breakfast.

  1. I’ve been homeschooling my first grader and two kindergartens, while simultaneously wrangling my two year old. Please lord let me win this, I’ll spend lots of money on room service (aka champagne). At this point I’d take a motel with free WiFi and working vending machine, but I think the Lloyd would be a total dream!

  2. This place looks AMAZING!!
And the perfect night getaway we all need.
Got to tell my lady friends ASAP

  8. I visited the Loyd’s website. The fitness center alone sounds amazing. Heck, I would spend a night there just to have the opportunity to try the Mirror and Peloton in a no pressure non sales environment! The rooms look divine, what a gem of a place to have in your backyard. Perhaps I will stay at its next time we go visit my family in CT and NYC.
