My Affordable Skin Care Routine

I truly believe that good skin comes from diet, stress-reduction, and balanced hormones. That being said, I’m always on the hunt for budget-friendly skincare products that have simple ingredients and won’t irritate my skin. I’m prone to redness, and I have the struggle of combination skin.

Step 1- I start with the Face Halo to take off my make-up. You can read all about my obsession with this product by reading this post.

Step 2- Orange Blossom Face Wash

Several months ago, I posted to Instagram Stories searching for a great facewash. Several of you suggested that I try Young Living’s Orange Blossom Face Wash. I’m obsessed. It leaves my skin feeling so clean. I also love the earthy scent.

Step 3- HYDRATION, BABY!

Last month, I had the pleasure of attending Modern Dermatology’s Media Party with my fellow-blogging buddy, Helen Phillips. Doctors Klein and Robinson have created the most gorgeous space. (Stay tuned as I will be visiting the office for my annual skin check.) As if opening a state-of-the-art facility in Westport wasn’t enough, they even have their own affordable skincare line. Their hydrating serum is AH-FREAKIN-MAZING! This product is a fast absorbing gel that feels like heaven on your face. It is a hyaluronic acid serum that also contains cucumber, arnica, willow bark, chamomile, & licorice extract. I wanted to post about this product after the first time I used it- that is how amazing it is. To be fair, I told myself I would use it for a full month before singing its praises. Well, it’s been a month, and the serum is just as amazing as it was on Day 1.

  1. I love trying new face washes, always trying to find one which will leave me feeling clean and hydrated – though I must admit my usual budget is less than half the cost of the Young Living.

  2. I agree with you, Lydia! I usually don’t like to spend that much on a wash, but this one is seriously so divine. It lasts awhile, too!
